Still alive!

I've been so bad at blogging. If anyone checks this anymore, I'm grateful to you for your patience!
I'm in recovery from a joyful and busy Christmas/New Years. I'm glad things are starting to slow down a bit. I'm embarrassed that I only got 1 picture this entire holiday season! I don't know why...the only picture I have is of all 4 grand-girls at mom and dads on Christmas Eve.

We moved at the end of November. I hate moving, and the weather was very cold making it even more annoying. The new place is great though. It's a bit bigger and in a much quieter neighbourhood. My favourite things are : my bigger kitchen, en suite in our bedroom, and attached garage. Love it. The basement is semi-finished meaning it's dry-walled. There are 2 more bedrooms and a bathroom down there. Cam started mudding one of the bedrooms the other day in hopes that in the spring we can get someone in for room and board.

Cam got laid off from his job the week before Christmas which came as a bit of a shock. We knew it was slow at work, but we kept hoping they could keep him busy. He immediately called up a friend who works on the service rigs, and got a job, but that job didn't start 'til January. In the meantime, his former boss from ArcTech phoned up and offered him to come back to work because he had heard about the layoff. That was the biggest blessing ever!
So Cam had his first day at Grimes today. I'm curious how he liked it. His shift is 8 days on 2 off. He still comes home every night.

Next week is Cam's 30th birthday and I've been talking about planning something for almost a year, and I still don't know what to do!! I hate planning events. He wants to go tobogganing and have a wiener roast. Sounds simple but I don't know why I can't pull it together... this shift work is a bit tricky because he doesn't always get weekends off.

My New Years Resolution is to keep my blog up to date!

Sorry to hear about the layoff, my company did the same, but I didn't get laid-off; just eight of my friends.
Don't give up!
