Hoping for a boy!

Right off the top I'll share my most exciting news that I'm pregnant again! I'm sure everyone knows already courtesy of Facebook. Had a bit of a complicated start with some unnecessary bleeding that was on/off for 5 weeks, but everything seems to be going great now. At my ultrasound I was surprised and pleased to find out that I'm due a month earlier than my own calculations. I am 15 weeks along so my new due date is Dec 13th. I'm really praying that's correct or my pregnancy will seem so long.

Next week Saturday Cam and I are going on our summer holiday. We're heading down to Vancouver Island for a 3 day chartered halibut/salmon fishing trip in Ucluelet. Our friend Brennan is coming with us as well, and we'll be staying with him at his place in Whiterock while we're on the mainland. I can't wait to go. My mom will be keeping my girls. She's not sure whether she'll stay home or hop along and spend a few days at the coast. I'm looking most forward to eating at The Olive Garden and doing some maternity shopping. We're still trying to figure out exactly what to do with our students here during our trip. We're not supposed to leave them alone, and I'm having trouble finding a house sitter.

My students are all done school now for the summer. They've been really bored so far and we're only 1 week into the summer :) The boys have work experience starting soon so that will help bide some time. Coming from a city that has 32 million+ people really makes Fort St John seem boring! I'm not sure whether they'll be with me until Sept or next Jan. I find out for sure in the next few weeks. This experience for me has been very challenging, but rewarding. Cam and I are gaining experience at raising teens! They have adjusted very well though. Sometime I forget that the food I make is completely foreign to them. They never complain, they just eat. And of course I love the extra income it provides for us. On the other hand, I would love to be able to make a baby room.

Kelsey and Leah are now 4 and 2. They finally play very well together. Ever since Lauryn and Brooke were here (a major highlight of our year so far) my girls have played a lot of "house". They learned lots of fun new things from their cousins. Leah is potty-training. She's doing okay. I think it'll be awhile yet til we're done though. Best method for her is to always be naked. As soon as she's wearing a pull-up or underwear, she just won't use the potty.

This week we're working on getting our driveway ready for concrete. My goal is to have it done before our fishing trip. And hopefully when we get back we can get sod and have a lawn...we'll see what the money situation is then though.
