Walkin' on Sunshine!!

I stole the clever title from my cousin Cherie's blog because that's how we feel around here! Kelsey has finally taken her first steps! I don't think I can technically say that she's walking yet because she still crawls mostly. But on Wednesday I saw her walk 3 times (just short distances), and then tonight it's as if she finally caught on! She was walking back and forth between the couches and her toys all evening. Very exciting. About time too--she'll be 14 months old next week.
Today was a great day. So hot--we put Kelsey in her baby pool outside for the first time. She loved it.
I worked 5 days last week, and I work next week full time...been going pretty good. Kelsey was a lot happier for the sitter this week. (Cut 2 teeth the previous week--I think that's what was wrong with her). After work I never feel like doing anything, and the house was getting so messy, and the laundry was piling up...so I decided I'd leave it another day and wanted to go to a movie and relax. Cam & I watched Mr. and Mrs. Smith. We liked it.
I have to do and Ode to Ozzie while I'm writing this. I'm glad I posted that picture of her(dog) a couple weeks ago because it appears to be her last. My dad noticed that she had been missing for a few days (which had never happened before). He's pretty sure that a neighbour out in Flatrock probably shot her for roaming on their property. Something else may have happened, but either way, we're pretty sure she's gone. It's pretty sad. My brothers and I had bought dad a gift certificate to the SPCA one year for Christmas ('99). I remember going with him to pick out a dog and he liked Ozzie right away. They had some kind of connection.
On a happier note, 10 more days 'til we go to New Brunswick!
