Seriously, I was going to write right after I posted that picture on Friday, but I blinked, and now it's Wednesday!
Last night at 6pm I got Leah from her crib only to find her and all her bedding covered in vomit. I had no idea she was sick...then not 10min later Kelsey says her tummy hurts, and she pukes. That was just the beginning of a long night. Leah threw up about 7 times in all (before midnight), and just as I fell asleep Kelsey puked in her bed. Then about half hour later after I just fell asleep again, she threw up in her bed again. I was so tired...I prayed that somehow I could sleep in today and I did! Both girls slept until 9:30am! It seems they're feeling much better too. Leah has a bit of a fever and is sleeping again, but I think the worst is over.
Going back a couple weeks...Leah's birthday party was nice. I had my friends and their kids over for a party on Wednesday afternoon, and then the family bbq/party on Sunday.
Work is going well. I'm enjoying it. I just work Mondays and then 4 hrs every other Saturday. It didn't take me long to get back into it and remember most things. One of the girls called me before my first shift to tell me that I would have to make a retinoic acid inhalation for one of our clients asap in the morning. I was quite stressed because I hadn't done this for a couple years and I was hoping I would remember the right techniques. After a bit of a restless night, I arrived in the morning to find out it was all a joke. Gives you an idea of the fun gals I work with. :)
Running is going great too. I've done 12km twice in the last week which I'm proud of. And they both felt really good, although I'm still a bit achey from my last one. I remember back to 6 weeks ago when even 6 of 7km sounded too hard! It's amazing how your body and mind adapt.
Had a baby shower here on Monday night for Kristy. It was a good turnout. I was a little nervous that my house would be too small and too HOT, but it turned out fine. Thanks mom for all your help.
Better get back to washing pukey laundry...
