Impulse Shopping

I know I posted a lot of pictures, but I figure that's a much easier way to show what we've been up to and then I won't have to type as much!

As for the title...First you need to know that Cam and I don't really look around much when shopping. When we were looking for houses, we bought the first one we looked at. This past winter we were driving through the Ford sales lot and saw a good deal on a Minivan--didn't test drive any other vans, just bought the one we wanted. Yesterday I told Cam that I had seen a tent trailer for sale. Now it is sitting in my driveway! We have not been looking for one at all--just thought it would be so much nicer then a tent. We got a good deal and I can't wait to use it!

Going back a month...Warren, Kerry, and their girls were here for vacation. We had such a nice time with them. The kids really played together nicely.

At the beginning of August we went camping to Moonshine Lake with our friends Terry and Jamie. I was a little leary of being in the tent. I thought it might be too cold for Leah. It was a very cold night, but Leah was bundled right up and sleeping in a deluxe dog bed. She slept for 11 hours! Kelsey was another story. She woke up at 3am and was sobbing. I could make out that she was saying she wanted to go home to her own bed. When we told her we couldn't go home, the crying just got louder. I ended up taking her in the van for awhile and warming up. We finally got back to sleep at about 4:30. We were supposed to stay 2 nights, but I wussed out after that. I just wanted to be in my own bed too.

Last week I canned a whole bunch of dill carrots. That was fun. My cucumbers are really growing now, so I'll be able to make some pickles soon.
I also went moose hunting last weekend. On Sat night Jeff and Cam went with me, then on Sunday Cam and I went out again. We saw moose both nights, but not a bull. It's hard to get out there because everyone is so busy. Cam is getting quite a bit of work done on the garage finally. He really is the foreman where he works now. He's loving that position, but he says he is actually more exhausted at the end of the day as opposed to when he was welding.

Leah is really big! Uncle Jay made her giggle for the first time on Sunday, and then I made her laugh today when I was bouncing on my exercise ball.
Kelsey still would rather watch movies than be outside or doing anything active. She loves Cinderella right now.

Next weekend I am going to Waldheim, SK for a Striemer family reunion. My mom is driving with me and the girls and we're going to spend the night in Edmonton and do a little shopping. I'm really looking forward to it.
