So much has happened in the last month!
Kelsey first-- we just celebrated her 2nd birthday! It was fun. We had a BBQ here last Sunday afternoon with friends and family. Kelsey had a really great time.
At the beginning of April we moved her into her new bedroom. I was expecting a bit of a challenge moving her into a bed, but it has been no problem at all! We bought her some bedding (a duvet cover with a kitty on it) and she loves it!
I also started potty training again. It's going okay this time. She does really well when she's naked. She just won't pee on the floor which I appreciate, but as soon as she's wearing a pull-up or underwear, she'll just go in her pants again! She's told me that she has to go pee quite a few times when we've been uptown, so that's improvement. I'll just be patient.
Another change with Kelsey is that I think the Terrible Two's kicked in right on time...maybe a little early. She has become very independent and wants things her way, and has a big meltdown everytime I say no. We go through this several times a day now. But I'm not complaining, there's still much more happy times than bad times.
Cam hasn't been working as much overtime lately so I 've been seeing him a bit more which is nice. Now he is into getting a new driveway. Our driveway is muddy and full of awful ruts, so we want concrete. He is determined he can do it with the help of a couple friends. Hopefully that will be done in the next few weeks. Currently he is working on putting together a shed we just bought from Sears. It came in about a million little pieces.
As for me, I am officially on maternity leave again! I had my last day of work on the 26th. I am 34 weeks along now, so I'm really looking forward to having all of May off.
For most of my pregnancy I was planning to have a scheduled c-section, (my Dr. recommended that way), but I have decided more recently that I really want to try to have a natural/normal delivery. (If natural means no drugs...that's not what I mean!) So he got a 2nd opinion from the OBGYN and it's a go! I'm kind of excited about it. Cam isn't so sure. But the Doc said I can change my mind at any time--even if I'm overdue. I pretty sure I won't but never say never! Sometimes I am so uncomfortable I think "It sure would be nice to have this baby a week early!"
Cam and I have purchased a greenhouse and we want to get into gardening this year. Cam is planning on making me a garden since we don't have one yet. I've started tomatoes, cucumbers, dill , and some other herbs in the house. We left the tomatoes outside all evening once by accident and they took quite a beating. Not many survived. I've still got lots to learn! But we're so excited watching everything grow before our eyes.
That's the last month in a nutshell! I'll try and post more regularly.
