March is here! Only 3 weeks until it is officially spring. It has been very cold here the last few days. I sure don't envy Cam having to work outside all this week! He phoned me yesterday morning at 9:30am begging me to bring him some hot soup or coffee because he was so cold and he hadn't had breakfast, and he was sure he was becoming loopy and incoherent because he was just SO cold. He can be very dramatic! Anyway, poor boy, he was very pleased when I brought him a hot soup and sandwich from Tim Horton's and a thermos full of hot chocolate to keep him warm til the end of the day.
We're very excited...he has this weekend booked off and we're going to Banff! We're leaving Thursday after work and we're going to drive as far as we can and sleep in the van. I know, that sounds awful, but that's the Neufeld in me trying to pinch pennies! (haha just joking...all my Neufeld aunts that read this, please don't be offended). Anyway, since no one sleeps great in their vehicle, I'm sure we'll get an early headstart and arrive in Banff shortly after lunch. (It's only 9/10 hours away, but I dread doing it all in one day). We are meeting another couple there so it should be a good time. We plan on just relaxing...going on the gondola, going to the hotsprings (I'll just go in for a bit). I may even book myself in for a pregnancy massage! Kelsey will be staying with my mom and dad.
Kelsey has been very mischevious lately. (See pics below). I take a hot bath nearly every morning, and she usually just watches cartoons or plays quietly. Well last Friday as I was in the tub, I saw her run past the bathroom a couple times and I caught a sight of something red on her face. At first I thought it was blood or something, so I ran to check it out, but she had just got into my makeup case and played with my new lipstick! It was on her shirt, and the couch, and the wall, and her dresser...I made her get a little cloth and wipe it up. Don't think I'm a slave driver--she was very excited to help clean up! She loves makeup. Later that same day was when she got in the diaper cream too.
Today is "Buddy Day" at gymnastics so we've invited Hayley to come with us. Should be nice.
I'm going to go eat breakfast seeing as Kelsey is still sleeping. I can't believe I'm getting all this quiet alone time! Better take advantage of it.
Bon
