February...finally!

I'm so glad January is over. It is the longest darkest month of the year for me. I feel that spring is so much closer now!
We have been very busy the past couple of weeks. Cam went to camp for a few days. He was supposed to be gone for 10 days which I was really disappointed about, but he came home with the flu after 3 days. It was great to have him back except for he gave me the flu too!

For my birthday Kristy gave me a gift certificate for 3 pedicures (from her of course!), so I gladly used up my first one last week. It was wonderful. Then we spent the afternoon scrapbooking. I am trying to get into it, but I feel I just don't have any ability in that area. Kristy helped me very much though. I now have 2 pages complete! Kristy's book looks amazing.

A high school friend of mine just moved out of town, so Kelsey and I visited her one afternoon to say goodbye. She has a very sweet 2 month old daughter. While we were visiting, Kelsey managed to somehow get wedged inside her magazine rack! At first I was laughing about it as I was trying to pull her out but she wouldn't budge. Her skin was getting pinched against the wood as I tried pulling so she was crying. Finally we had to lay the rack on its side and Raina pushed on her knees and I pulled her arms. That worked. I still don't even know how she quite got in there like that!

Kelsey has changed a lot lately. Suddenly she doesn't want me to help her get dressed anymore. She's very adamant that she can do it by herself. She grabs her outfit and runs away from me. I'm impressed that she got her pants on all by herself one day, but that's the only thing she can do. Eventually she calls me for help and it makes me feel needed again.
Oh I've also quit potty training. She just wasn't ready. It got to the point where if we even mentioned her potty she would start to cry. She has sat on the potty a couple times by herself now so that's good.
Gymnastics is fun. Kelsey really enjoys jumping on the trampoline and walking on the beam. It looks funny when she tries to jump because her feet don't even leave the ground.

I had my ultrasound last week. I enjoyed it but I had to go bathroom SO bad that I actually went to the washroom twice about 15 min before the ultrasound. I was ready to cry because I honestly thought my bladder might burst. I don't remember it being so bad with Kelsey. I was kind of worried that they'd say my bladder wasn't full but it must've been fine!
Cam and Kelsey came with me. Actually Cam's sister just happened to be at the hospital so she came too. It was fun. The baby was moving so much. Sucking it's thumb, then waving at us.

I've rambled on a lot more than I was anticipating. Hope it didn't bore anyone! My mom and dad are here entertaining the kids so I could finish this up. Should go visit now.
