We had another very busy week last week. We borrowed a camper trailer and truck from Cam's sister and brother in law and headed to Grande Cache, Alberta. We left on Thursday after supper, and we were travelling with another couple which was fun. They stayed in the trailer with us. We got to Grande Cache at 1:00am and parked on the left side of the highway in a huge meadow where there were about 50 other campers that were in the Death Race too. The race started on Saturday morning. I had such a great time watching it! Cam was on a relay team and he did Leg 5 which was the last leg of the race. He only started running at 10pm and I got to see him cross the finish line just before 1:00am. It's such a great atmosphere there because the whole crowd cheers for every runner that comes in. It's so exciting and emotional! Cam ran 22km in 2 hrs 50 min. Most of it was uphill, and it was in the dark too. He did really well. I find it hard to believe that some people do this race solo (125km through the mountains). We want my dad to do the race next year. He sounds interested...
We left to come home on Sunday morning. Since Monday was a holiday I convinced Cam to repaint our living room! YAY! I'm really happy with the colour now. I've bought new curtains and we're buying new white baseboards so the room should look nice when it's all done.
I worked on Tuesday and I have the rest of the week of which is awesome. I spent yesterday with my sister in law Pam and her 2 kids. Jeff & Kristy came over for supper. Today I went out to my parents farm with Kelsey. They're haying right now so we just sat in the truck and drove around with my mom for awhile. Kelsey had fun. She liked the dog and cows and she learned to moo. I decided to wean her off of her soother this week. It's going a lot better than I expected. She hasn't seen it or used it since Monday morning. She goes to bed just fine without it!
Anyway, I should clean a bit while she's napping.

That a boy Cam... way to go with the running and all... I miss your farm, its the best place in BC.. Say Hi to your mom and dad for me, and eveyone else...
We knew Cam's team didn't actually "place" in the top or anything, but they were 65th out of 155 teams.
