I haven't been sleeping very good the past couple nights, so I may as well write in my blog. We had such a busy weekend painting our living room and entryway. I don't know what the big deal was but it was SO much work, and it took us 12 hours! To top it off, I am not 100% pleased with the colour. I wanted a sage green colour, and I picked out a very light shade, but it came out kind of minty. NOOO! It's not horrible, but it's not perfect. I want perfect! Cam has already mentioned that he's never painting that room again, but if he knew what I was thinking...( I already have another colour picked out). Funny thing is, it's the very first colour we liked but I kept changing my mind. I've learned that we should just stick with our first instinct. This weekend is the Death Race that Cam will be running in. I'm looking forward to watching all the runners cross the finish line. It's going to be very exciting. Cam is running at night though, so I hope I can stay awake. I'll have Kelsey with me so things may be a little complicated. Then we hurry back to FSJ for the 2nd annual Canadian Welding Competition. Cam has another team all lined up for it this year. He won first place last year and won $5000! (Split 4 ways) They don't find out what the theme is until the morning of the competition and then they have 29 hours to complete the project.
Kelsey just turned 15 months old. She is so much fun right now. I'm amazed at how much new stuff she has learned in the last 2 weeks. She can say so many words, and she copies everything we do and say! When I was at work today I phoned my mom's house and talked to Kelsey for a bit and it sounded like we were having a real conversation! She was babbling at all the right moments and answering my questions with "yep" or "no". It made my day. She also likes playing with our phone and has called people on more than one occasion. Yesterday Kristy called to tell us that Kelsey had just phoned her house! (She scrolls through the call display and hits "ON" and it dials the #).
Well its getting very late. Cam got called out tonight at 8:00 and he's still not home. I used to stay up worrying and not sleep until he got home, but now I'm used to the fact that he rarely phones to let me know what's going on. I'll probably still worry abit though...:)
Goodnight

We hope Cam does good in his race and also at the welding comp. sounds like you'll have a fun couple of days! It's it great when you child can start talking to you on the phone,...Wade loves it when Keagan calls him at work.
Hopefully you can find a paint color that works for you...I painted our living room and hall a really nice shade of sage and everyone always comments on what a nice color it is. Hopefully maybe Cam won't mind helping you repaint.=)

Hey, maybe Lauryn & Brooke's incessant talking rubbed off on Kelsey?
