Misadventures in Motherhood

Of course...just as I begin typing Kelsey wakes up crying. I'll try and write quickly. I've been working lots lately which is starting to bother me. I originally only wanted 2 days/week, but I have worked 2 full weeks in May, and I have 3 full weeks in June, AND I just looked at the July schedule and I'm booked for 2 full weeks as soon as I get back from New Brunswick! I just about cried. I'm going to have to phone Val (schedule maker) and tell her I can't do it. (I already agreed to do these May and June shifts, but that's about all the full-time I can handle!). I never knew I'd miss being away from Kelsey so much. I don't like having her with a babysitter all the time.
I'm looking forward to this long weekend coming up. Cam and I, along with a bunch of friends are going hiking up Battleship Mountain. Should be fun. There is a little lake about 2/3 way up the mountain, which is where we will set up camp. I'm a little nervous about hiking with all of our gear. It will be heavy! Jeff and Kristy and Terry (bro) and maybe Kristy's sister will be coming. There is also another couple and another single friend. Big group! Jeff is always good at scaring us about bears, but I'm feeling pretty confident :) The boys will be carrying rifles. Jeff and I both read a book full of bear attack stories a couple years ago, and I've had many nightmares from it. As long as we don't tell the stories while we're there, I'll be fine!
Kelsey is playing on the floor beside me now, and the air is quickly being filled with the stench of poop! I must go tend to this.
